Struktur Kalimat (Rumus)

Kunci utama dari tense ini adalah penggunaan kata kerja bantu (auxiliary verb) Have/Has dan kata kerja bentuk ketiga (Past Participle/V3).

1. Kalimat Positif (+) Struktur: Subject + Have/Has + Verb 3 + Complement

• Gunakan Has untuk subjek: He, She, It, Nama Orang Tunggal.
• Gunakan Have untuk subjek: I, You, We, They, Subjek Jamak.

2. Kalimat Negatif (-) Struktur: Subject + Have/Has + Not + Verb 3 + Complement

• Have not dapat disingkat menjadi haven’t.
• Has not dapat disingkat menjadi hasn’t.

3. Kalimat Tanya (?) Struktur: Have/Has + Subject + Verb 3 + Complement?

• Jawaban pendek: Yes, I have atau No, he hasn’t.

Analisis Kesalahan Umum dalam Present Perfect Tense

Setelah mengerjakan soal di atas, mungkin Anda menyadari beberapa titik kesulitan. Berikut adalah kesalahan yang paling sering dilakukan oleh pelajar:

1. Tertukar antara Have dan Has Banyak yang masih menggunakan have untuk subjek she/he/it. Ingatlah aturan emas: subjek tunggal (kecuali I dan You) selalu menggunakan Has.

2. Menggunakan Verb 2 (Past Tense), bukan Verb 3 Beberapa kata kerja memiliki bentuk V2 dan V3 yang sama (seperti fix-fixed-fixed), namun banyak yang berbeda (seperti see-saw-seen). Dalam Present Perfect, Anda wajib menggunakan seen, bukan saw.

3. Kebingungan dengan Keterangan Waktu Jika sebuah kalimat menyebutkan waktu yang sangat spesifik seperti “yesterday” atau “last week”, Anda tidak boleh menggunakan Present Perfect. Gunakan Simple Past.

• Salah: I have seen him yesterday.
• Benar: I saw him yesterday. (Simple Past)
• Benar: I have seen him already. (Present Perfect)
